What makes this the easiest display stand to mount a LEGO building kit on

This is the stand we would hand to someone mounting a ship for the first time. The slanted side panels do the structural work, so the column itself stays slim and the model is the thing you look at; the widened front area stops the nose-heavy hull from creeping. The ship lifts on and off with one hand, and it can be hung from either side if the panels are mirrored during the build.

At 9.3 by 8.5 by 9.0 inches it fits a standard cabinet shelf, and the white-and-grey palette disappears against a light wall. The booklet is the clearest of the three brackets — colour-printed, one step per spread, parts counted in the margin.

The 75389 is the newer UCS Falcon and the one most fans mount as soon as it is built. Left flat it loses exactly what the older set loses, so the real choice is between LEGO display stands that hold it upright and acrylic display cases that keep the dust off: cases protect and do not showcase, an angled or vertical bracket does the reverse, and a stand inside a case is the usual answer once a collection has grown. This bracket is cut for one of the LEGO sets in the Star Wars line and nothing else — no LEGO Technic chassis and no Technic frame carries plating in the right place.
